The report claims that Louis Van Gaal is set to ditch his out of favour players at Old Trafford in his attempts to rebuild teh squad ahead of the 2014-15 season.

The Red Devils capped off their fine pre season with a victory over Liverpool to win the International Champions Cup in the United States. It is now believed that Van Gaal is set to get down to business and axe several players who will not fit in his preferred 3-5-2 setup at Old Trafford.

Yesterday we had reported that the Red Devils had slapped a €11m price tag on Mexican striker while midfielder Shinji Kagawa’s future also remains uncertain at the club. Now that Atletico are ready to offer €32m for the pair, a deal can be struck upon in the coming days.

The report claims that Hernandez is waiting ‘to be told’ that his future lies away from Old Trafford. The Mexican has already fallen down the pecking order in the striking department behind the preferred trio of Van Persie, Rooney and Welbeck.

The same goes for Kagawa, the Japanese who wnats to play in his preferred number role, but that slot will be probably handed over to Spaniard Juan Mata or even Rooney who can drop in the hole just behind the lone striker up front.

  1. An 11 million Euro Price tag on the Mexican? So we would sell him for around 8m sterling which is about what we paid for him? Not a cat in Hells chance lads!!!!

  2. €11 price tag is nt bad,he cant future in d new, 3-5-2 system soon 2 b used.

  3. Run Javier run!!…this is the best news for Kagawa and hernandez, both could really thrive in a tour de force like Atletico de Madrid,Chicha will score 30 or more goals in any team ready to give him a fair chance and Shinji is a natural 10 who by the way United doesn’t have.

Good luck for United, especially when your main strikers are a thirty something injury prone and bambi on ice

  4. That’s gonna be a great move for those players.
