Asdis Ran is known as the Icequeen. She is married to Gardar Gunlaugson (last played for CSKA Sofia, Iceland) and they have two sons and a daughter. She has the perfect figure of 36-24-36. Recently, Soccerlens got a chance to get a hold of Asdis (which is not too difficult by the way) and ask her a few questions. Asdis is the fifth babe that we have interviewed.

How does it feel to be called ‘The Icequeen’ when you’re so hot?

Well, I’m a cool girl but with a warm heart. The nick comes with my nationality – I come from the land of ice and snow, under the midnight sun where the hot springs blow (Led Zeppelin) but over all I think it is a pretty cool nick name and I like it.

What are the pros and cons of a husband who plays football professionally?

Sexy thighs and butt, not too long working hours daily, fun and exciting games to watch, VIP privilege in many things that make your life easier, good time to spend with the kids – stress and big pressure often, never more that one day off in a week unless maybe once a year, not always good attention in the media and of course injuries.

Are you a fan of football? If yes, which team do you follow?

Yes, I’m a fan of football but I don’t spend much time watching it unless my husband is playing! I will have to say that my favorite team is Arsenal (if not, my husband will get pretty angry).

If one of the Soccerlens’ readers was lucky enough to take you out on a date – what would impress you?

Strong personality, style, ambition, not too formal, more sexy and over all I like caring and good guys not bad guys with a spoiled mind who think are some super hot-shots.

Name your three favorite footballers in the world apart from Gardar.

Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid), David Beckham and my favorite Ronaldinho (Milan).

Are your kids interested in football?

My oldest son has other interest but my 4 year old son is very talented, he is going to be a super football star I think and my girl is just a princess and hopefully she won’t go into football!

Unlike most models you’re very active in social media and in promoting yourself online. Why do you do all the work yourself instead of hiring someone to do it?

This is a bit complicated but I will try to explain some points:

I’m a big fan of marketing and I have education in it as well. So I enjoy working with my image as a product to improve my skills. For example, I was nominated as the Best Amateur Marketing person of the year for my promotion that made me the most popular person in the press in two countries for the last few years.
I want to think that I’m pretty good in promotion/marketing so I prefer doing the work myself. I might be famous but I’m still not world-famous so at this moment, I can do big part of the work myself but of course I also have people than handle things for me. I understand that at some moment this will all become too much work for me to handle but until then I will do my best.
I enjoy being in contact with my fans to be able to understand what people like and don’t like about my work. That way I can develop myself better in my field.

It is a bit strange but I have never had any manager or agency representing me so I have done all the work myself from the beginning. I don’t know why it turned out like this but I admit it would be nice to have a big agency taking care of my image internationally – maybe one day that will happen If I get a good offer.

We heard a rumor that you were asked to pose nude by a Bulgarian magazine – what’s the real story, have you ever posed nude, and why / why not?

Yes I got an offer from the Bulgarian Playboy they offered me to be playmate in a very nice nude photo shoot but I bailed out in the last minute because of the money. The thing is, I do it for the money, it is not the publicity I need and I don’t have a dream of becoming a Playboy model. So, I will wait for a better offer hopefully from Playboy USA! If not, it doesn’t matter. I have everything I need at this moment in life. The shoot I did for Maxim this summer is nude but it really doesn’t show much.
