I was cheering for Arsenal in last years title race, and this year is the same! If Liverpool fail I will be again on the Arsenal side.

Beating one of the big four is more than 3 points, Arsenal are certainly back in the title race, but they do still have a mountain to climb. The match was brilliant! The football was fantastic but Arsenal need to play like that against the likes of Fulham and Hull too.

Manchester United and Chelsea are never written off the title because we know each team can win 10 epl matches in a row if they are on top form and get back in it, but this put United in serious doubt for the title. Five points behind this Chelsea team isnt good (and it is five, you will win the game in hand).

Congrats to Arsene and his kids, i hope they continue to prove their critics wrong. Last season people where saying how Cesc Fabragaes was "owned" by Anderson well i think we saw the true gap between the two players yesterday

Will D, I'm glad we agree for a change :) Rafael definitely added a spark when he came into the game. I watched him against Celtic, and he still has to work on his defense, but he's already more dangerous coming forward than Neville is. Sad to say, but I think the skipper has lost a step. I'd start both Rafael and Wes Brown over him right now.

As for Fabregas. Enjoy him while you can, Gunner fans. I have a feeling he'll be joining Hleb sooner rather than later.

Both teams were substandard. The defence of both the teams were exposed gleefully by the opposition. Arsenal were suffering from the absence of a holding midfielder (Denilson will never be that, that or anything defensive). Ferdinand showed us to be the the true bungler we always suspected him to be. As for Gary Neville, I wont say a bad word against him, because he has had a wonderful career and it is only age and not dedication that caught him. Gallas was average and thank God for that. And both the offences were extremely wasteful(Bendtner you prick, WTF were you doing out there?????). Man of the Match?? Nasri.....

Agreed, although I think it's a bit abrupt to start feeling sorry for ourselves all of the sudden. Just like with Arsenal, people may have been a little quick to write them off. Not to say that they are now frontrunners for the league title or anything, but this was definitely a must-win for the Gunners, and it was clear that they wanted it more than we did. We need to start playing with a little more urgency - we really haven't been on form enough this year to succeed with our usual relaxed swagger. Case in point - start for Neville, loss for United. Nasri exploited that athletic mismatch and dominated Neville all day - he's lost more than a step, and absolutely should not be starting. I hope Victor Li is right and we see more of Rafael in the coming weeks - anything to shoot some life into our stalling squad.

@kyle - right here mate, wondering about our capability to challenge for the title this year. We can't slip up much more, although we've already played most of our tough away games so maybe that will work to our advantage in the second half of the season.

In any case, we were poor in front of goal and that cost us. Arsenal were remarkably sharp in front of goal and that won them the game. Nasri and Clichy are wonderful players.
