Arsenal are reportedly keeping tabs on Fiorentina goalkeeper Norberto Neto according to reports from the Daily Mail. The British Media outlet claims that a goalkeeper is Arsenal’s top priority signing for the coming summer.

It is believed that Wojciech Szczesny’s future at the club in under huge doubt after his smoking smoking incident on New Year’s Day. However signing Neto won’t be easy as both Liverpool and Juventus have set their eyes on the Brazilian shot stopper. We had reported earlier that Neto was expected to sign a four-year deal with Juevntus where he will receive a salary of around €2m per season.

Elewhere, there were reports today that Arsenal could sign Asier Illaramendi after Real Madrid were on the verge of securing Lucas Silva’s services from Brazilian side Cruzeiro. However reports from the Guardian suggest that the player is not for sale.

Illaramendi has hardly played this season and it was believed that he could join Athletic Bilbao but manager Carlo Ancelotti has banished such rumours. Ancelotti said, “He hasn’t played much recently but that does not alter the confidence we have in him and his importance to the dressing room and the team.”

“I think to have a motivated team you need players who are available and professional in all the training sessions and Illarra is one of them. If I need him I will play him as I have total confidence in him operating in central midfield.”

The Independent have also cited French media outlet L’Equipe claiming that PSG manager Lauren Blanc could let Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani leave the Paris based club after the player’s falling out with Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Arsenal are certainly one of the potential suitors but do they have the cash to sign the explosive goal-scorer.
