Unless we start competiing with the other clubs in terms of players wages, we’ll continue to fall further behind the rest of the pack. Its alright having strong principles in football now but those principles won’t win us any silverware. We have to move with the times now, we need foreign investment in order to compete with ya utds and chelseas. Unfortunately with the way football has gone you have to pay these greddy footballers the money they want even if they ain’t worth it, otherwise you can’t compete. Football has changed for the worse now, its all about money and it certainly is starting to lose its appeal. I’ll always love arsenal my football club but gone are the days when ya tony adams’ david rocastles’ and players that basically play for the club because they love the club. Professionals make me sick now and im still mug enough to pay good money every week to support them, kants like flamini and ade can fk off no ones bigger than the club. OOH2OOH2BEOOH2BEAGOONER!!!!!!!

Stallone Rock – you’re right, what the papers are saying IS crap.

So if Andrei reports what’s said in the news, it’s BS, but if a paper claims there’s a pre-contract deal between Nasri and Arsenal without any sources you’re going to believe that because you like that news?

You want to criticise the news, go ahead. If Andrei makes a mistake, go ahead and let us all know.

But I’ve had enough of you and other people slagging the site off every time we put up something you don’t like. Grow up and deal with it – news is 90% BS, all Andrei was doing was reporting what he’d read, there are no ulterior motives involved. Everyone here busts their ass to do as good a job as they can – if you can’t show some respect from behind your keyboard then that’s really sad.

Having said that – I agree with the need to write about more concrete stuff – so thanks for the feedback as well. However, this is the transfer rumours section, so you’re bound to hear…guess what…rumours! Might want to keep that in mind for next time.

another perspective to this article really is that the man u authors on this blog are always scared of arsenal signing good players, they dread that and they come up here to drum some base less speculation because it makes them feel good about themselves and their beloved man united. considering too that they were chasing aaron ramsey and he chose arsenal over united they are already getting the jitters, because they know what arsenal are capable of. so when the likes of andrei (whether he is a man u fan or not) start saying what they are saying, they are only trying to taunt arsenal fans so that they can feel good about themselves atleast 4 the moment. but one thing i know is who eva is coming to arsenal will come and who eva is not, will not come and only time will tell. the papers and websites are all competting 4 hot news at the moment, so please let them meanwhile some of us know the motive of your article mr. andrei, try writing something more concrete next time instead of getting everyone worked out on some speculation about nasri.

guys just 4 get these arsenal freaks, their manager is desperately trying to keep ronaldo what if nasri does nt come to arsenal does that mean arsenal are nothing next season? this is the transfer season there is bound to be alot of speculation about the destination of so many players. a struggling arsenal team is far beta than atlectico so why will nasri want 2 go there and athletico is not financially beta than arsenal either. lets wait until reality confirms or negates speculation, at the moment what the papers are saying is crap, no matter how authoritative some of these papers are.already some so called authoritative papers are already saying that the ronaldo/madrid deal is a done deal that he will sign after the euros, so until we actually see him in madrid colours been presented to the public ronaldo is still a man u player. so fuck the papers.

Raed, I do not remember the exact sources. I do remember that it was in one of the less ‘reliable’ papers, but I cannnot remember the exact one.

Until you see the image of the player in your shirt at your stadium with your coach, then its not a done deal. Where is the official news? By the way Joel Cairo, by adding those players, Man Utd won the prem and the Champions League,duh!! Arsenal won nothing with your additions.

Aww Andrei… Man U is struggling to hold on to Ronaldo. Gabriel Heinz just kicked Fergie in the face and left… last yr.. Chelsea is bracing themselves for Lampard’s departure. Evra just signed after talking about other teams wanting him… Torress is wanted by Chelsea etc… this is today’s market… If a player score 30 goals a season.. he will be demanded from every other corner… every team will struggle to keep hold of them….

Andrei –

You can say what you want about Arsenal’s pull in the transfer market. The point is we’re still competitive with Chelsea & Man Utd in the Premiership. When i see i huge drop in points like ‘06-’07 compared to those two is when i WILL start to get worried. Time & again everyone is shocked by the kinds of players Wenger has signed compared to the potential they have reached. Sagna is ALREADY considered the best right-back in the premiership after only one season in the big leagues. Eduardo will be back next season & will hopefully be as devastating on attack as he has hinted at before.

If it ain’t Nasri it will be someone else & Wenger operating on a shoe-string budget (i’m quoting anti-Arsenal sentiments here) & still being competitive is not incredible enough for you? We’ll see what next season holds but to suggest Premiership success depends completely on success in the transfer market is just plain ludicrous. In that respect expect Man Utd to be bankrupt in the next 2-3 years if they don’t keep winning the ‘double’ again & again. I speak tongue-in-cheek but i’m sure you get my meaning.
