The 24-year-old, assist-machine, who joined the Gunners on the transfer deadline-day from Real Madrid returned yesterday to London, following his participation in the World Cup qualifiers with Germany. And due to this international commitments, Ozil will get only two days time to train with his new team-mates before his debut.

Wenger was not keen to draft him into the first team straight away, rather wanted to use him as a sub role, but following the injury to Tomas Rosicky, who picked up a thigh injury while away with Czech Republic, the Frenchman is left with fewer options and will be tempted to introduce the German star for the tie.

Wenger, however is set to stick with midfielder Aaron Ramsey, while will make a decision, between Jack Wilshere and Mathieu Flamini for the other midfield slot.

Arsenal winger Theo Walcott also picked up a knock in England’s lackluster draw against Ukraine in Kiev, but England manager Roy Hodgson insists that he will be fit to play in the weekend.

After a shambolic opening day 3-1 defeat at the hands of Aston Villa, the Gunners have strongly bounced back in the league, registering two back to back victories against Fulham and derby rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
