According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, Palermo chairman, Maurizio Zamparini is in London to seal the transfer of Joel Campbell from Arsenal.

The Costa Rica attacker has been linked with a move away from Arsenal and it seems that Palermo are keen to strike a deal.

Italian outlets have claimed that Palermo have appointed an agent to sort out the transfer as soon as possible, but it appears that the Italians are now frustrated with the deal dragging on and the club chairman has taken matters into his own hands.

Gianluca Florini, the agent appointed by Palermo claimed that the deal is not easy.

“The negotiations have hit a dead end as Arsenal are a club difficult to deal with. With Palermo there is a will to bring Joel Campbell to Italy. However, we are a bit annoyed by the reaction of the Gunners and we are considering other tracks.”

Zamparini has flown in to London to conclude talks with Arsenal and the complete the transfer of Joel Campbell.

Campbell is out of favour at Arsenal and is keen to get a move in order to kick-start his stagnating career.

It is believed that Arsene Wenger is ready to grant him his move, should the buying club meet the desired price.
