Arsenal Injury boost: Gunners duo set to return next week

Ahead of Arsenal’s London derby clash with QPR on the Boxing Day, Arsene Wenger has given a detailed injury update. Wenger mentions that Mikel Arteta, Aaron Ramsey and Mesut Ozil will return as early in January.

As you can see from the above tweets, Koscielny will miss the QPR game but could make his comeback in Sunday’s game against West Ham.

But the news that all the Gunners will be excited to hear is the early return of Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey.

The duo could play a pivotal role in the second half of the season, as Arsenal aim to mount a serious challenge for the top four spot. Skipper Mikel Arteta has been progressing well but won’t be able to play during the festive period, but Wenger expects him to be fit around next month.
