Cesc is good. Hopefully he will continue to improve. But Ahmed's point is very valid that Wenger needs to surround him with quality. Hopefully some proven quality as well.
I think the reason why Arsenal is sputtering down the stretch is that too many of the kids on the team are still learning how to be quality players on their own and are not equipped to play well as team mates yet.
The Arsenal first team is arguably one of the best in the league when totally healthy but with out more quality, experienced depth they will continue to struggle over the long season. The individuals who make up the bench are all strong on their own, and it is a testament to this strength that the team only has two losses this season, but they don't mesh that well with others when they come in or in their starts. Team play, as exemplified by ManU and their stunning teamwork, is vital to winning tight games where individual brilliance will only take you so far.

Unfortunately I just don't know what it is going to take to jog Wenger out of his convictions that he can win it all without paying for proven players at all. As Arsenal fans we can only hope he does come to this realization.
