Arsenal set for transfer talks today for signing €25m sensational midfielder

Adrien Rabiot

It seems like PSG are left with no options rather to sell their sensational young midfielder Adrien Rabiot. The 19-year-old has set his heart elsewhere and doesn’t want to play for PSG anymore.

He has one year left on his contract and is not willing to sign any new deal. Yesterday L’Equipe reported that his body language in training was awful and even refused to train giving a fake excuses of injury.

Crux of the matter: he doesn’t want to stay at PSG. The club already has an avalanche of star midfielders but following the purchase of Yohan Cabaye last season (making his chances regularly for the club more difficult) his relation with Laurent Blanc had worsened.

All he needs now is regular games under his belt and precisely for that reason mainly he is keen to leave Paris. He has lots of option to chose from but it seems like Arsenal could be his possible destination.

According to reports from Le 10 Sport, the player’s mother who is his agent as well is expected to be in London today to hold talks with Arsenal.

Sky Italia understand that PSG are expecting Arsenal to make an offer of around €15m, which is still €10m short of PSG’s valuation.

However, with the player setting his heart to leave and keeping his contract situation in mind, PSG may be forced to accept Arsenal’s terms and conditions. Juventus are also thought to be interested in signing him.

Manchester United close to confirming their latest transfer deal
Liverpool hope to complete transfer within next 24 hours

  1. Rabiot is just not who we need. Wenger buy William Carvalho. You will regret it if you don’t, he is exactly who we need.

    • And why is that??? Cos other clubs are lookin at him?? He is average at best..eroc djemba djemba springs to mind

    • Arsenalsteve i agree, i am a gooner 4 life, and William carvalho is the best buy, he is gonna be the Next yaya toure he is the future.

  2. no need rabiot wenger need big defensive midfielder before window closed like Carvalho or khedira or bring back alexander song back to the home

    • This transfer window is fast becoming frustrating and I believe that if wenger does not strengthen in the right areas of the squad such as in defence, central midfield and striker we are going to end up with a “deja vu” in the sense that away from home against the big teams there is only going to be one outcome. He said last night, “We are open for any position as long as we feel that the player can strengthen the squad.”

Another issue I have had with wenger is that he constantly gives french players the opportunity such Sanogo, Flamini who rejected us when he was at his prime in 2007, and was pretty aweful last night. I will name few players we can sign just to prove he is talking nonsense: why can’t we sign carlos bacca, jackson martinez, aris aduriz, mario mandzukic[ before he signed for madrid] frenando LLorente, luis gustavo, lars bender, benedik howedes, neven subotic.

    • Idiot mate these players arnt good enough for the might of arsenal, might as well have park, vermaelen and song back you watch footy or do you play?? Let me guess….ARMCHAIR…champ manager…fifa….hahahahaha

  3. we will always criticize Wenger for not buying players but can’t u see him that he has worked hard this time around to get quality players i don’t say that he buys the best players bt he makes them and u will see him buying something very special on deadline day but i don’t think he will go for a striker ….maybe a defender and a defensive midio that’s it 2 players

  4. Carvalho, alderwield and Remy all just average players. Luis Gustavo, benatia and cavani are the three players we need to challenge for real honors!!! And while were at it could do wiv a bit more pace on the wings….. alessio cerci is not That man…memphis depay is the diamond in the rough. Podolski, sanogo, flamini not good enough for the emirates..maybe sanogo in a cpl of years but he ain’t no where near ready to b called upon against the other big teams…wenger get a move on if ur serious about a treble challenge,if not were just settle for top 4 and maybe a mickey mouse cup

  5. What Arsenal need in my opinion is a strong and talanted centre half and a strong and talanted centre forward. If a 19 year old player is going to be bought it is all a waste of money and talent as Arsenal have plenty of them and I do not know why these are not given the chance to prove their talent such as Campbell,Gnabry,Akpom, and others.
The season is very long and the team needs talented players not only as the first eleven but even the reserves have to be talented. One must not forget last year where arsenal had the first part of the season a very good one while the second one after christmas was a desaster all the players seemed to be tired and lazy even though these are supposed to be professionals.
