Arsenal’s recent 2-0 win over the reining champs Milan will only boost the confidence of this young team. Chelsea will easily win their match to advance, I think we all know that this is the match which everyone will be watching. The way i see it, It will either be a close tie, or Arsenal will roll overliverpool with a similar result as their game versus Man U. I don’t see Liverpool advancing, regardless of all the hype following their 7 game streak. It will be an interesting match nonetheless.

As much as I want the Reds to win it I don’t see how they will be able to triumph over the Gunners. Liverpool’s recent dissapointing 3-0 loss to Manchester United to spoil their 7 game win streak has brought questions into my mind, although I believe the red card was completely unnessecary. I am glad Benitez is meeting with the officials to sort things out.

Arsenal will not lose. A draw maybe. Liverpool always end up winning in such situations. Plus Inter always screw up in the UCL

It’s possible there’ll be a bit of Arsenal and Liverpool backlash after both suffered embarrassing FA Cup defeats. There’s a good chance they’ll both come out snarling and ready to prove a point. Then again that could always work against them…

Thanks for your comment Rizla. I was under the impression that since it's the only trophy missing from Wenger's resumÃ©, the Champions League would be a prime target for the French manager. After all, he himself declared some time ago that Arsenal would need to "win the CL two or three times" in order to be "taken seriously by the rest of Europe".

Er…NO!!! Wenger has always stated that the league title takes priority over all other trophies.

Although not all Arsenal fans necessarily agree, Wenger values being Champions of the league in your own country above winning a cup competition – albeit a very important one.
