Calhanoglu, 20, has hit the headlines recently after scoring some of the most extraordinary goals of the season so far.

An absurdly gifted set-piece taker, the Turkish attacker has lit up what has been otherwise a lackluster season for Hamburg, and despite his individual brilliance, the German side find themselves only a point above the relegation zone.

Arsenal, Liverpool, and an unnamed Premier League side are said to be watching with interest, with Hamburg reportedly slapping an £18m price-tag on the player’s head.

‘TalkSport’ reckon the Bundesliga side are attempting to start a bidding war in the summer, if relegation does force them to sell their prized asset.

Calhanoglu was likened to Arsenal star Mesut Ozil by Winfried Schafer, the now Jamaican head coach and former Karlsruher midfielder, with the German insisting the attacker has all the attributes needed to become one world’s top performers.

What do you think? Impressed with his goals? Who would suit him more, Liverpool or Arsenal? Let me know in the comments below…

  1. why would we want the new ozil when the old one is crap

  2. Would Arsenal buy all the players you always talk about? There are so many players offered by the media to Arsenal, everyday we read about so and so is being monitored by Arsenal. Is this true? I dont think so. Lets wait and see what will happen.

  3. Liverpool will suit him more because of their fluid play, opportunities given to younger players and the way formations are flipped to suit players.

  4. arsenal will choose but he is one of them.

  5. Arsenal need a good striker like Džeko or someone who can actually score ( Giroud is terrible ) , they have enough middlefield players

  6. Hey join me at man United. you’ll play alongside the best midfielder in the world cleverley and fellaini
