isnt garay certain to return anyway?.ive heard on revista on sky sports that ramos is available for transfer, albeit at a high price.people behind the scenes are seriously pissed at his apparent lack of interest near the end of the season, particularly the sevilla game where perotti tore him apart.im not sure if it will be the same once perez comes in,but his future isnt certain

Im retrospect, I think there are a few signings that Real Madrid must make during the summer. Hopefully they don't splash out big money on overpriced stars, but rather go for younger relatively unknown players or experienced veterans.
1. Another skilled flair player, preferably a winger to complement Robben, a #7.
2. A young defender, either a center back or left fullback to fill in the gaps in an aging defense, maybe Garay.
3. An expereinced player who can serve as the engine room or someone who can impress themselves upon a game, most importanly being able to change the pace and dictate the flow of the game, a deep-lying playmaker.
4. A creative playmaker, or even another striker, a young Brazilian perhaps, a #10.
Options are as follows:
1. Silva, Ribery, Capel, di Maria
2. Garay, ?
3. someone like Xavi, Gattuso, or Makelele
4. Kaka, Keirrison, Dentinho, Lulinha, etc.

are you kidding? sergio ramos is the best right back in the world! who could you possibly prefer?
transfer priorities for Madrid:
1. sign another winger
2. sign another central/left defender (or recall garay)
3. sign another striker

madrid have the players to achieve what they should, but the defensive system used is what is destroying them

madrid chopping their midfield up every off season does not do them any favours
but in saying that, I do think a striker and a right wingback would not go amiss

xabi alonso is not right for real madrid. his price will be too high and right now real madrid should resist temptation and buy young players instead of going after expensive and well-established players, although madrid could use some experience.
it will be a busy off-season for madrid, that's for sure.
in particular, real must find a way to replace its aging players in defense. in the past, heinze and cannavaro have both performed well for madrid but both are aging fast and cannavaro looks to be leaving.
sell:
cannavaro (he wants to go to juventus)
heinze (his few mistakes are costly ones)
saviola (has never played, so why not sell him?)
m. diarra (injured and lass has performed better)
faubert (just a loan, but stupid signing in the first place)
metzelder (depending on whether we can find someone else to replace cannavaro)
buy:
silva (very good, very young, and valencia need the money)
benzema (will be expensive but certainly has the talent)
one or two young brazilians (there are a few on the market right now but real has seemed reluctant since robinho)
