He was an international striker for one of the biggest countries in world football and he played UEFA cup AND Champions League games many times during his career, of course he is well known across Europe. What an utterly ridiculous comment to make. Other managers have made it good with no experience. Keane is doing alright at sunderland, Zola and Southgate have gone straight into premiership jobs, Ince has jumped up quickly.
