Belgian winger Adnan Januzaj wants a permanent move away from Manchester United this summer, according to BBC Sport.

Januzaj reportedly feels ‘humiliated’ by Jose Mourinho’s treatment after being instructed to train with the club’s reserve-team players.

Mourinho has identified him surplus to requirements in his plans at Man Utd and the young winger is thought to be closing in on a season-long loan switch to Sunderland, that will see him reunite with his former boss David Moyes.

The former Real Madrid and Chelsea boss also stripped Januzaj of club legend Ryan Giggs’ iconic No 11 shirt and the attacker claims he has not been given any explanation.

Januzaj flourished during the short and ill-fated tenure of David Moyes at Man Utd but has since find it difficult to break into the first team squad on regular basis.

The Belgian International spent the first half of last season away at loan to Borussia Dortmund, before the Bundesliga giants terminated his loan deal in January to send him back to Manchester. Dortmund head coach Tomas Tuchel later criticized Januzaj for failing to show the right ‘desire and attitude’, who made just six appearances during his time in Germany.

Januzaj reportedly appointed a personal fitness trainer during his summer break to ensure he returned to Man Utd in peak condition but now intends to end his five-year association with the club on a permanent basis after being left mortified since the arrival of the Portuguese coach.

Mourinho, who is reportedly planning a major exodus after spending over £150 million this summer, also faced severe criticism over his treatment of German midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger. The 32-year-old is also poised to leave Man Utd this summer after failing to feature in Jose Mourinho’s project.

Meanwhile, after being linked with a move away from Old Trafford all summer, Januzaj appears set to join Sunderland, who have already bolstered their backline by signing Man Utd’s defensive duo Paddy McNair and Donald Love for a combined transfer fee of £5.5 million.
