January 22nd, 2008 @ 21:58Chipolopolo Boys, that’s what we call coming. Please contunue being on your guards I am sure you’ll see The Pharaohs off even with your eyes closed but beware of the Lions. Mark my words, The Pharaohs will not retain the Cup.
January 23rd, 2008 @ 06:53GOOD FOR CAMEROON, THE PHARAOHS DESERVE THE WIN MY ONLY PROBLEM WITH THE MATCH IS THAT EGYPT WOULD HAVE MADE IT A LITTLE BIT LESS HUMILIATING FOR CAMEROUN. THEY MADE THEM LOOK LIKE BABIES AND ETOO…..HIM AND R. SONG WERE THE ONLY ONES ON THE CAMEROUNIAN SIDE. I WISH HIM LUCK BUT NOT CAMEROUN.
January 23rd, 2008 @ 09:02i thnk that tunsia is gona beat senegal at least 2-1
January 23rd, 2008 @ 09:35Ivoriens should nt assume bcos they won 1 match against Naija i trust Eagles will fly d cup back to naija, sorry for my guys Drogba & M. Essien i’ll support them when they get back to my favourite club “chelsea”.
January 23rd, 2008 @ 09:49Yes, the Ivorien Elephants ‘depressed’ the Eagles of Nigeria on Monday, so they can smile and rejoice. But if they think that the Eagles are down and out, they had better hold their breath. Their joy is Berti Vogts poor selection!
January 23rd, 2008 @ 10:04Never should he have fielded Kanu Nwankwo from the first half – he ought to know better. Needless to say that the Eagles will surely fly over the prelims but then Ivoriens should pray that the Eagles don’t meet them again along the competiton, for then, the story will be different. Doubt this? Ha Ha Ha!!!
Oh, whatever happened to the Lions of Cameroon? But not to worry for the bones shall rise again. Like the Eagles of Nigeria, they too will surely roar over the prelims and then the real onslought would have begun. Hi Eto’o, pity, you turned yourself into a ball-boy, you shall not toil in vain. Goodluck!!
January 23rd, 2008 @ 10:13i dont know there are blue fans here too. philip how u dey. abeg help me tell them say naija like chelsea no dey carry last. infact this time around we no go carry second.
January 23rd, 2008 @ 10:49on friday they go start to dey hear ram, becos he go be fire for fire. i pity benin.
hi ebhojie.
Bravo Zambia. Keep it up imwe waneighbour
January 23rd, 2008 @ 11:28Yeah my guy Nwadozie, i think d God of chelsea is a naijarian, but for Benin i want to assure their President dt d kind comment wey im make b4 d tournament kick start dt Benin will used Jas to confused us, bt im 4get say we naija no dey used Jas take play futball, bt if im make us vex well well we go used ogun jas wey dey near im country take send am to am wit im players wey dey no go fit carry ball take pass centre talkless of scoring, anyway sha dem b small people na im make am, cos i pity them when we meet.
January 23rd, 2008 @ 12:29It’s just a pity dt Macmillan Phiri dey give im people Zambia bravo, cos d game is too young, am certain dt u cant reach quarter fianl, sorry
January 23rd, 2008 @ 12:34no mind them peter, phiri abi na wetin be ur name, make u knw say na who laugh last na’in dey laugh pass, she u understand. for benin, ogun, or shango, or amadioha too much for them. na bori na’in do them. ohhhhh i cant wait for friday.
January 23rd, 2008 @ 12:46i think angola will defeat south africa 2-1 today and tunisia beat senegal 2-0 or 3-1. what do ya’all think?
January 23rd, 2008 @ 13:04Who say that Angola could defeat South Africa? Ha, this thing call football can envoke sentiments-oh! Angola is good but not enough to defeat SA. Angola will fall by 1-0
January 23rd, 2008 @ 13:30who’ll bet with me?
ebhojie, just wait and see. i will respond after the match, by the way what are u betting with?
January 23rd, 2008 @ 14:23nna na nigeria and super eagles ipity well. shd they recordanything less than a convincing win over mali they are on their way home be dat. Wonder how proponent of foreign coach wi;; feel.
January 23rd, 2008 @ 14:29Ebhojie, it is not about sentiment it is about football and when u talk about gud football, then i can perceived south africans crying back home dt they ar already out of this tournament, cos no doubt angola will defeat south africa
January 23rd, 2008 @ 14:54Charles Phillip
January 23rd, 2008 @ 15:48Phillip Chipolopolo means bullet and no one bites a bullet and lives.Watch us my friend shoot our way to the trophy.just because your country lost does not mean every one should lose.Sorry!!!
hi bro of africa, am not saying every body should loose just bcos naija lost to ivory cost, d trophy we’r all eyein is meant for only one country, bt remember naija is a giant of africa, so we lost galantly and will bounce back with our eagles wings to lift d cup to a great country ( Nigeria).
January 23rd, 2008 @ 16:48Togo will win the Finals
January 23rd, 2008 @ 17:02WHERE DIS BOBO TOGO COME COMEOUT FROM, PHILP U DON ANSWER THE BULLET MAN ALREADY, NO NEED TO GIVE HAM A PIECE AND PIECES OF MY MIND. CHIPOLOPOLO ABI NA OPOLO, WHICH DAY LION BECOME OPOLO. I NO BLAME UNA NA DIS VOGST ABI NA WAGON WE FUCK US UP, UNA 4 KNW UNA MATE.
January 23rd, 2008 @ 17:42I think south africa will prove everyone wrong by winning the games until the finals and will take over the african cup this year!
January 23rd, 2008 @ 20:09south africa is the best and wil win tunisa 1-0. sorry tunisa. bring da cup home SA Boyz! – sharkboy
January 23rd, 2008 @ 22:00I STILL BELIEVE CAMEROON WILL REACH THE FINALS OF AFRICA CUP DESPITE THE HUMILIATING START WITH EGYPT. I HAVE THE WHOLE HOPE THAT COME WHAT MAY SAMUEL ETO’O WILL STEER CAMEROON TO THE FINALS OF THE CUP
January 24th, 2008 @ 05:59we na gud morning brothers wey dey support green & white, God go bless all of we na, bt i want ask one question, na who be dis sharkis man wey call imself sharkboy, how im go say south africa na d best & dey will win tunisia, to spoil d show im come say dem go carry d cupu, abi im think say na only im sabi shark?
January 24th, 2008 @ 07:48Charles hw u dey, me too i just dey wonder where ds bobo togo abi wetin im call imself come out from, im think say to carry d cup na makosa dance?
January 24th, 2008 @ 08:15philip i have seen wonders, these south africans are daring, they’ve really got nerves…..i cant help but laugh at their naivity…win the cup eh? we will see. i think south africa is still having the hangover of havint to host the world in 2010, thats y they’ve got the nerve to want to win the cup when nigeria, ivory coast, ghana, egypt and cameroun are there..
January 24th, 2008 @ 09:39philip maybe we can chart online. meazieh@yahoo.com, 08039650178.
Bro Phil and Charlie, tell me why Angola couldn’t beat South Africa? Yes, let’s talk real football… that Angola scored first was their luck. I have already said that Angola are good but neither they nor South Africa will near the Cup. That draw was rather unexpected, just as our defeat in the hands of the Ivoriens. I told some fans here that Egypt will beat Cameroon but because someone refused to concur then, I have won for myself a bottle of Red Wine from South Africa. Too late to bet with you now over Angola/SA, but I can let you have a glass of Red Wine, free! Care for it, friends?
January 24th, 2008 @ 10:41red wine ehh? well if u can send it through the net, thats fine but dont let my governor catch you, niger is still a mini sharia state. maybe u can send it to celebrate our defeat of mali after the match tomorow.
January 24th, 2008 @ 10:57This year’s African cup of Nations is very crucial and this being the case i dont subscribe to ideas of those people who are saying Cameroon will reach the finals. They still have a long way to go, you cant count the chicks before they are hatched.this cup can go anywhere apart from Sudan and Namibia.
January 24th, 2008 @ 11:28i agree with u miti, but i think u 4got benin. a child should first crawl before learning how to run, its natures law.
January 24th, 2008 @ 12:19Come-on Miti, dont write off Cameroon! U just don’t like them eh? Talking football means talking real hard facts. The Lions are sure hungry and will certainly devour both Zambia and poor Sudan. Only then the game will have begun. Wait, let’s get into the Q/finals and see the pairings – the Lions will be uncaged…..no doubt!!
Hey, Charlie, ever heard of Wine, Red Wine – nay, Drinks in a Kettle? Ha, Sharia keh?….. Lef mata! Let’s talk football, o-oh!! Ghana Vs Namibia tonight… talk to me!
January 24th, 2008 @ 12:21haba, its not as bad as u re making it look naa? on ghana what do u think, for me i think namibia is no match for ghana but after the way they narrowly won against guinea, their ability to deliver is now in doubt. but i think they will still win.namibia cant draw with ghana.
January 24th, 2008 @ 12:32Ebhojie, I like your argument on the Indomitable Lions of Younde(Cameroon)but my mother told me that a fish can only be bent when it is still fresh because it can break if you try to bend it when it is dry so i think the lions should have proved themselves in the first game against the Pharaohs. Let Rodger Milla teach the lions how they can maintain the midfield which was very porous in the first game.Having said all what i have said am not writing them off they still have chances.Although am not from West Africa but i strongly feel that Egypt will hand over the cup to a Western African country.Other teams like South Africa, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Zambia, Angola and the rest will just smell the trophy but not getting it.
January 24th, 2008 @ 13:04Ivory Coast will win the cup. Tough luck Nigeria and Cameroon. One of the giants will not make it to the Quarter Finals.
January 24th, 2008 @ 15:2198% OF WE SIERRA LEONEANS ARE FOR GHANA CAMEROON AND YES OUR BIG BROTHER NIGERIA. SO BE IT IN THE SEMIFINALS & FINALS. BRAVO! BRAVO!! GHANA. FLUSH OUT NAMIBIA TODAY!!!
January 24th, 2008 @ 15:21THAT’S A NICE BEGINNING. P U S H O N.
BAA LUUWA. WE DAE FOR YOU.
Malawi Woyee! Checkout for Egypt, koma mulimba?
January 24th, 2008 @ 16:05Mugu abi na Mugura u call urself, i totally disagree wit u, but i’ll reserve my comment till 2morrow after our match
January 24th, 2008 @ 16:08Ds phiri think say na only im get language, d other day im say imwe for Zambia & 2day again na koma mulimba for Egypt, which country im come 4rom masef? Charlse abi u no hear am, tell am say if i fire am naija koko, im go take am do research take develop dt im country
January 24th, 2008 @ 16:20It’s too early for the opponents of the Super Eagles to rejoice. Anyone in doubt should go to the archive and check to remember what happened in Algiers ’90.
January 24th, 2008 @ 16:28Dear Philip, Pls don’t mind the Mugus, dem go take say d ram wey reverse, na power he go bring!
January 24th, 2008 @ 16:35Adebayo for president or more realisticly African player of the year
January 24th, 2008 @ 16:59all i can do is laugh at all dese litle comments…to think any other country dares to put themselves above the super eagles…its a definite..its already won..theres no doubt about the fact that we will win the cup and many more tuuh come. Ghna are just lucky..but they shudnt get tuuh comfortable…we will soon fly AGAIN!
January 24th, 2008 @ 22:43I think its too early for us to start saying Nigeria will get the cup or Ivory Coast will win it or Cameroon whats ever.Lets analyze each team at the tournament look at Guinea, look at Zambia,Look at South Africa and other teams,i can’t mention Ghana beacuse they are hosting and they have high chances of lifting it because according to my tribe we normally say(mwini nyumba ndiye adziwa kuli chibonga) the owner of the house knows where to put a knobkerrie if this cup Ghana will not win this one Presiednt Kuffour and the rest of the people in Ghana will not be happy.Guys lets prepare for the Atlas lions of Morocco
January 25th, 2008 @ 08:34WHAT ARE YOU GUYS REALLY TALKING ABOUT, ANYWAY HAVE YOU REALLY WATCHED THE SUPER EAGLES OF NIGERIA, PROFESSIONALS, TALENTED, HIGHLY RATED BY FIFA IN AFRICA AS NUMBER ONE AND ALSO THE FIRST AMONG AFRICA IN WORLD LIST WITH SKILLFUL PLAYERS, NO SECOND THOUGHT NIGERIA OWNS THE CUP OTHERS SHOULD GO AND SLEEP .
January 25th, 2008 @ 09:00philip no mind am di guy (phiri) dey gbadu our naija slanges, but we no go teach am
January 25th, 2008 @ 09:23OH THANK GOD ITS FRIDAY AT LAST, THE DAY OF REKONNING HAS COME. GO SUPPER EAGLES…………..HUMILIATE MALI.
January 25th, 2008 @ 09:25Ikechukwu,learn to understand modern African football. In as much as we respect the Super Eagles, football does not play names nowadays.Cameroon lost 4-2 to Egypt with all the dependable players the same to Nigeria they lost to Ivory Coast with all the dependable players you are talking about, lets just put our fingers across and wait for February 10, but by so saying am not underrating Nigeria but let them redeem themselves in the Mali game today otherwise they may fly back to Lagos before the last day of the tournament. You said Nigeria owns the cup, which cup are you talking about?.
January 25th, 2008 @ 10:04Ikechukwu,learn to understand modern African football. In as much as we respect the Super Eagles, football does not play names nowadays.Cameroon lost 4-2 to Egypt with all the dependable players the same happened to Nigeria they lost to Ivory Coast with all the dependable players you are talking about, lets just put our fingers across and wait for February 10, but by so saying am not underrating Nigeria but let them redeem themselves in the Mali game today otherwise they may fly back to Lagos before the last day of the tournament. You said Nigeria owns the cup, which cup are you talking about?.
January 25th, 2008 @ 10:07`Hi Somebody, it’s true that the Eagles of Nigeria refused to fly last Monday and so the Lions of Cameroon remained in their den on Tuesday – that was a couple of days back. But has the going become tough already? Answer me? Because when the going becomes tough, it’s only the Tough that gets going. I rest my case here, meanshile. Let those who ears listen, and properly too!!
January 25th, 2008 @ 11:21the score will be 2-0 or 3-0 in favour of nigeria. from now on it will be almost impossible to go pass nigeria’s defence, watch and see….
January 25th, 2008 @ 11:38GHANA GHANA GHANA!!!!!!!! AGAIN. I TOLD YOU GUYS YESTERDAY THAT GHANA WILL JUST FLUSH NAMIBIA. AND NOW SEE WHAT WE’RE GOING TO DO……… GHANA BAALUWA, WE DAE 4 U.
January 25th, 2008 @ 11:57hola to the footballing family!
January 25th, 2008 @ 12:06Although football easily steers emotions lets keep our cool in rating the teams. In the tournament i think Ivory Coast is highly favoured to win because player for player ratings they look strong. They have a complete team. Ghana wont fall easily because aside from having quality players like Essien,Sully Muntari,Asamoah they have a quality coach and the crowd behind them. However Egypt and Nigeria can never be ignored. As my Zambia we are hoping to go as far as we can
Hello my country people i mean big brothers from naija, let me ist of all answer ds Bobo Togo, both Keshi @ Adebayo are Nigerians, bt Adebayo decided to help strengthen Togo futball national team & my brother Keshi to open their eyes on how to play futball, it is a great achievement for a Nigerian to govern Togo as a president, we ar in full support Bobo Togo, Up Nigerian Boy Adebayo in diaspora rulling Togo! up Nigeria for Africa
January 25th, 2008 @ 12:37The hour has come for the Super Eagles to defend the labour of our past heroes, to serve with heart and might One nation bound in freedom, So help us God.
January 25th, 2008 @ 12:51I salute all my people Ebhojie, Philip and I agree with my man Charles 3 – 0 in favour of Naija.
I would like to congratulate Namibia for qualifying to this years Africa’s biggest soccer showpiece, although the brave warriors have packed but we should thank them for qualifying, hats off to that Zambian coach Ben Bamfuchile who is late now for helping them.Anyway time would come for Namibia to progress in such tournaments.I would like to thank Guinea for their good show yesterday but their captin should change his behaviour, i for one am one of those who like the performance of Fernduno but was shocked to see what earned him a red card. When are our players going to differeciate between a boxing ring and a football pitch, what we want to see in Ghana is football and not boxing. It was too bad for his colleagues to start defending instead of attacking because the team was reduced to 10 men
January 25th, 2008 @ 12:57Amen my brother Gbolahan.
January 25th, 2008 @ 13:10My people of Nijja, Let us put our hands together and cheer our team the Super Eagles up. I believe that they will fly higher in 2days match against Mali.
January 25th, 2008 @ 13:31As for the lost to Doroga and co, our guys have put that one behind them. They will go all out to win 2days game.
Charles and Philip Peter, how are you guys doing, I hope u are enjoying yourself with the African cup of nations,But one thing I will like u to know is that the African cup of nations is not premiership. And again don’t bring the issue of Chelsea fans here ok.
January 25th, 2008 @ 13:40I also want to tell you that futball changes, I hope u guys saw what Guinea did to Morocco yesterday, after Morocca whitewash Namibia 5-2 in their first match. So, my brothers, any thing can happen today with the Ivory Coast.
I think am in the same boot with my name sake Umeyor on the issue of African soccer. Please the English premier league is different from African football.Players can shine in the premiership but can not shine in Africa, ask George Weah on what happened to him in South Africa 96.He performed very well in Serie A but did not do likewise at the Africa cup.CAN 2008 is still open very open.
January 25th, 2008 @ 14:06Malians pls dont worry, we’r going to compensate u wit a dinner after a humiliating defeat.Up super eaglessssssssssss pls keep on fly’g untill u bring d cup back home.
January 25th, 2008 @ 16:26Pharohs shall reign this time after having a tough time with Cote d’Ivoire, and most importantly they deserve the title thousand times than any other African nation coz they are playing superb football
January 25th, 2008 @ 19:09I have always known that our chances in this tournament in shaky to say the least. Camping started too late in an abnormal location, (cold spain)
But i believe in Nija and miracles do happen. the god of soccer can still deliver us from this humiliating outing in Ghana.
January 25th, 2008 @ 21:31My Niiger Guys and great super eagles wellcome back home. Every dissapoitment is a blessing. what a mine saying, is a blessing to nigerin for not wasting our money the senate president have approved in the hotel of other country (Ghana).meanwhile i approciate my Guy Taye for his graet performance. I says once again wellcome back home and wait for another next two years. Finally, two bags of Garri is waiting for each of you at the airport if you Guys could not be able to get DANFO from Ghana to Lagos Nigeria. thanks.
January 26th, 2008 @ 07:07I think we ‘ve a chance only if d Ivoriens will help us ramage ds Malians wit enough goals,bt dt means we ‘ve to beat Benin wit 3 goals, any way naija guys make u na no worry cos futball is a game not a war.
January 26th, 2008 @ 09:42The Egypt team will win the cup and return to thier home with it and all the other teams will be like babies and return to thier home crying
January 26th, 2008 @ 21:40Cameroon will be winner again nomatter their defeat in first Match againts Egypt. lets wait and see what the future holds.
January 27th, 2008 @ 12:56The lions of Cameroon will rise and shine. Samuels Etoo has done it and will always do it. Maybe the suddanise team should just go home radder than taking a disgrace cos they will carry in basket.
January 27th, 2008 @ 13:00Deez guyz r just crazy…abi u all know who the champ is!!! Cameroon of course!!!We go just do it like in 84 lose the first match to raise some dust and bring the cup back for the third time in 8 years. Eto’o, Job,Emana got em goals!!!
January 27th, 2008 @ 13:34We got it comin’ again…sorry Zambia it’s just a game bros,don’t get it personal….
January 27th, 2008 @ 13:37Niaja boyz what happened to ya ??Is the eagle dead?? This is a disgrace 2 c u leave de competition so early…try again in 2010
January 27th, 2008 @ 13:49Truth is: Self help is the best help! Since the wingless Eagles of Nigeria cannot help themselves, it is a great disservice to comtemplate or even do some permutations for them. Em-m… IF Ivoriens beat Mali … and IF Eagles beat poor Benin.. and IF the margins are … so, so, and so!! then the Eagles will qualify. Why? Why should the Eagles qualify at this stage, having performed woefully – playing two games and scoring not even a goal. They should qualify to do what? To progress and win the Cup or to raise hope and crash-land along the line? I do not know these bunch of Eagles. They should return home quick and let those who are serious do battle in the tournament. They should return home and go back to their Clubs in Europe where their interests lie most. By the way what favour did Captain Kanu thinks he’s doing to Nigeria by pretending not wanting to return to his Club for treatment? Staying or leaving – does it change the Eagles’ situation? He should take a cue from other Captains who play matches for their Nations. The Eagles have no business staying in Ghana come Wednesday….that’s is the verdict! How generous of Abakpa who is arranging bags of gari for the Eagles to pick up at the Airport. But they are all ‘Big Boyz’ and you know what that means. Go home Eagles….Go, and Go quickly!!
January 28th, 2008 @ 09:08We Nigerians are heart beats of the African foot ball and very scary to all teams participating at the battle ground (Ghana) including the elephant of Cote d’Ivoire. Wining us by the Ivorian team is liking seeing Jesus Christ and that calls for a grate celebration to the Ivoirians back home. But the spirit of the Super Eagles is still flying High at the battle ground. It’s NOT over yet UNTIL it’s over. BE WARNED!!!!!!!!!!!!
January 28th, 2008 @ 09:28Hi bro Michael, dont mind them, cos dy believe is over for naija, bt even if it is over for d ACN dy shouldnt forget dt we’r still rulling d world thru world youth championship
January 28th, 2008 @ 10:21My friend Ikechukwu from Nigeria, even though Nigeria has been ranked by FIFA to be number one in Africa that is not a reason for Nigeria team to perform better in AFCON 2008. I have not seen unusual skills and talents from Super Eagle players. What I know is that Super Eagle will no longer fly in Ghana by tomorrow at 19:00 GMT hours. What is required in football is to play as a team like Ivory Cost and not as individual skills like Super Eagle. South Africa team (Bafana bafana) you are not different from Super Eagle. Remember that your country will host the next World Cup, improve your defence and forward line.
January 28th, 2008 @ 11:22Am a dissappointed Zambian soccerfan writing from the country’s capital Lusaka.
January 28th, 2008 @ 12:37When Zambia walloped Sudan last tuesday by 3 goals to nil, most of us soccerfans thought that our Chipolopolo boys would do what they did in 1994 in Tunisia when they lost 2-1 to the Super Eagles who are now almost failing to fly,but the result of the Cameroon game tells us a totally different story. Its my hope trust and prayer that the Chipolopolo boys will reach the quarter finals although they have a date with the Pharaohs of Egypt this wednesday. We need the cup in Southern Africa but the question is will it come this year….?.
Mba, not at all,i know is a game of futball bt d cup is far away from Chipolopolo boys, sorry o my guy, any way just keep praying & fasting
January 28th, 2008 @ 13:18Am a Malawian but i like nigeria longway from the past, but as of now it seems to be not serious in the way they are performing. why cant they call up again people like Agahowa. Jay-jay to take control of the games. Please we like the team assist as.
January 28th, 2008 @ 13:22Well my brother from malawi, i think d problem we’ve with our super eagles is d coaching crew, which has to do wit how to read a game & again there is a problem with d team sellection & d players too lack commitment.
January 28th, 2008 @ 13:58the way i saw cameroon play they will play the finals with ghana or ivory coast.cameroon is my team i love it
January 28th, 2008 @ 15:04tunisian forever.the cup back home enchallah marbouha.
January 28th, 2008 @ 15:49We have all seen that the super power in these cup are all looking for there first win in the group.(uganda)is coming in the next african cup of nations.
January 29th, 2008 @ 01:57Who says Super Eagles will whip the Malians today? Why should anyone expect magic and miracle in favour of the Super Eagles considering their poor performance in this tournament? Were the Eagles not supposed to make a mince meat out of the Ivoriens? Now we are being told that the mafia are back in the Eagles … so, don’t blame the Coaching Crew but blame the Coach – Berti Vogts. Blame the NFA too! But in the spirit of sportmanship, let the Eagles go back home – perhaps indeed, you can’t be winners all of the times. There’s always another time – goodluck Eagles, goodluck Nigerians!!
January 29th, 2008 @ 09:06Ghana Ghana will win the cup to the mother land mutari, essien.are doing good in this tournament
January 29th, 2008 @ 12:28Nigerian problem is not coach, but the players, many of them played die hard in there club why not at home, we don’t have our country in our heart thats why, any body that loves his country will do some thing that will lift up the name of his country anyware. if na players we getam boku boku infact 11 x 11 set, God bless us but we don’t have the haert for the country.
i want them to come back home so that we can knw that we don’t have players that cares for us. NFA shame to you, Berti Vogts is the least expected coach that NFA will hired, so NFA Na your fualt……..
January 29th, 2008 @ 12:43Flying back home today,The Super Egle of Nigeria…….
January 29th, 2008 @ 13:04OH……..NO……..NO TEAM,NO ATTACKER,NO MIDFILDERS,NO DEFENCE,THAT MEANS NO SUPER EAGLE.THAT IS SO SAD…….
January 29th, 2008 @ 13:17I bet nigeria are gon try der best 2dai 2 mak us proud..yup.and 4 chipolopolo…ur eyes wil become big as opolo(frog) wen nigeria win.for all my nig bred supporting us..keep doin ur tin..we stil up der datz y we r super eagles..

January 29th, 2008 @ 14:15LOVE U GUYS
who say egypt won .it is not.
January 29th, 2008 @ 15:52no! no! no!
no! for arabians. they are not an african .we have seen them in the match that they say sympathy for gazas. are u not shure they are srugle for palistaine.
the final will be only for blacks ,just for cotdivore or for gineae a little predictions to ghana
´´BRAVO´´ to the lords of African Football, Congratulations to the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon. Despite the hitch we had from the encounter with Egypt, we have once more proved to the world that we are the champions of African Football despite every thing. BRAVO.
January 30th, 2008 @ 00:34Last time i checked i saw “arabian” countries were on the african continent. Egypt will win it all. They did it last year and they will do it once again this year. Dont be hatin.
January 30th, 2008 @ 06:05Super Eagles, the God of Miracle is your God and He is right there with you Guys. Keep the Powerful Wings Spread Wide and Keep Flying the Sky is Your Limit. I am in Ivory Coast but my soul and spirit is there with you guys.
January 30th, 2008 @ 07:35Good Luck
I pledge 2 naija my great country, 2 b faithful, loyal & honest , 2 serve naija wit all my strenght, 2 defend her unity & uphold her honour & glory so help us God.
Gud morn’g afrrica & 2 my people who ar support’g green white green.
I want 2 ask one simple question, who said naija is not going 2 reach quarter final?
Now lets talk about Naija v Ghana on sunday,am very certain dt d labour of our past heroes shall never b in vain, so eagles gooooooooooo
January 30th, 2008 @ 08:54Thank God, the Super Eagles managed to scrap through to q/finals – courtesy of the Ivoriens! I wish them more luck in their next game against Ghana. Indeed, Miracle do happen!!
January 30th, 2008 @ 09:28I am a Tanzanian fanatic of football althuogh we are not doing good.
I thank many of you with your coments and encouragement. I was for Nigeria previously but due to lack of commitments seen among many Nigerian players I am thinking of looking for another team. Nigerian players are talented but are not aggressive to score goals. I dont know why? may be Ikechukwu can tell us.
Well about the games.
January 30th, 2008 @ 09:32-Ivorian are more agressive and interigent may win the cup
-The cameronian however ar still is good spirit and are showing team work I give them the chances also.
-Tha Ghanian are strong but slow, their scoring seem to depend much on refrees mistakes (such as the first penalt) and to me they seem to be protected. They may not win the cup if the refrees will not make mistakes again. They should learn to score clean goals.
-The Egyptian are fast and took cameroonians by suprise, but when cameroonian settled, they started to score goals and egyptian mistakes were seen. Egyptian are not interigent and depends on speed, as their mode of playing has been seen whan encounter an inteligent team, may loos their game. I am worried if they can win the cup.
Well done Nigeria,I would like to unreservedly thank the Super Eagles for qualifying to the quarter finals after beating Benin 2 nil.Am wishing them luck in the game against Ghana.Today my team Zambia takes on the Pharaohs in what looks like a formality game for the pharaohs that have already made it to the next stage and tricky game to Zambia that has slim chances of qualifying to the next stage.Football is always unpredictable i think the Chipolopolo boys will prevent us Zambians from suffering from heartattacks if they carry the day. This Africa cup or Chikho chaagatoma in my local language is great because its a revelation that African soccer has come of age.
January 30th, 2008 @ 10:42Supper Eagles, your enemies will live to see you go far in the ongoing competition before they die. Keep warming up your claws to take on the black stars of Ghana. The Eagle eye is bright enough to see through the black stars. The elephant is just big for nothing, pluck off the eyes and it becomes a big baby. The Lion, kill and eat is his name but from the sky above the Supper Eagles would pull off his eyes with the powerful claws before he realize it. We Nigerians are miraculous human beings God has ever created on Earth, from Zero to Hero and from dust to the mountain is our name and we are use to it because with our Miraculous God, All Things are Possible and that is our key to success. Keep the Powerful Wings flying.
January 30th, 2008 @ 12:10I LOVE YOU ALL
SUPRICE THE SUPER EAGLES HAS GROWN NEW FEATHERS SO NIGERIA WILL FLY HIGHER TO WIN THE NATIONS CUP. UP NIGERIA, UP SUPER EAGLES,UP THE FANS…..
January 30th, 2008 @ 12:58AM NOT SAYING MUCH EXCEPT THAT I RESERVE MY COMMENTS UNTIL AFTER OUR MATCH WITH GHANA, I THINK THAT WILL BE THE FINALS BEFORE THE FINALS. THE CURSE OF NOT SCORING HAS BEEN BROKEN AND IF WE CAN SURVIVE THAT GROUP, THEN GHANA SHOULDNT BE A PROBLE….. CONGRATULATIONS TO MIKEL AND ALL CHELSEA PLAYERS IN AFCON, THEY HAVE PROVED THAT THEY ARE OF SPECIAL BREED… ALL OF THEM HAVE SCORED MIKEL, ESSIEN, DROGBA, KALOU.. APART FROM THAT I LIKE THE QUALITY OF AFRICAN FOOTBAL THAT I HAVE SEEN SO FAR ESP. THE MATCH BETWEEN NIGERIA AND BENIN… THROUGHOUT IT WAS JUST TWO YELLOW CARDS OR IS IT ONE?
January 30th, 2008 @ 13:33GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
Of couse I also congraturate Nigeria for their win. And are going to meet Ghana. Since Nigeria plays interigent football, they have to increase their pace and score early goals. A piece of advise also, refrees will be protecting Ghana hence players should reduce temper and be calculative especially around goal mouth where we can see another controvesal penalt. Also why not call Julius Agohowa and Odemwing should start from the begining and not as a substitute.
January 30th, 2008 @ 13:49Mr Patrick dont worry about d refree, if he wish let him turn himself to a player & a refree against naija, we’r beating Ghana, sorry o my guy M. Essien, dont worry cos i’ll always give u my full support when u go back to Chelsea and also to my people Mikel Obi, Kalou & Drogba pls dont pick up injuries.
To my brother Chris Umeyor, I sleep with Chelsea & wake up with Chelsea, so whether AFCON or not am proud to b a naija guy & also proud to b a Chelsea fan or abi u dey fear ur own club? talk am make we hear am now.
January 30th, 2008 @ 16:07Thumbs up to the super eagles of Nigeria. I think with the level they have suddenly risen to, they are capable of beating Ghana in their quarter final fixture.
January 30th, 2008 @ 16:43Zambia should get ready to join Sudan as the two bottom teams in their group. I predict a scoreline of
January 30th, 2008 @ 16:48Cameroon 5 Sudan 0
Egypt 3 Zambia 1
Sharkawi, watxh and see Egypt fall to Ivory Coast in the semi finals
January 30th, 2008 @ 16:58Patrick Lameck, you had better start supporting the super eagles once again. The trophy belongs to Nigeria.
Patrick Lameck, You had better start supporting the super eagles once again because the trophy belongs to Nigeria this time around.
Sharkawi, the Pharoahs of Egypt will definitely fall to the Elephants of Ivory Coast in the semi finals.
January 30th, 2008 @ 17:02Esose, it is not yet uhuru. Watch out for the fall of The Indomitable Lions in their semi finals fixture against Nigeria’s super Eagles.
January 30th, 2008 @ 17:06GO SUPER EAGLE OF NIGERIA FLY………..IT’S TIME.
January 31st, 2008 @ 09:20Talk of winning the Trophy? Ha, let’s get to the bridge before crossing it o! If wishes were horses, Beggars would take a ride. Should Super Eagles surmount the Black Stars, they will have to face the Indomitable Lions. And the way the Eagles are now, this appears to be a tall order – or isn’t it? My fervent prayers and good wishes are for the Super Eagles…..for yet another miracle!!
January 31st, 2008 @ 09:53Thank you Tonnie and Peter for your advise. From the performance on Supper Eagles to join quarter finals and have reduced turning speed to other team, I have not yet left Nigeria I was in a process which is now retarded. Wish all the best Supper Eagles
January 31st, 2008 @ 09:57I know Nigeria v Ghana is going to be a match of the tournament, i reserve my comment till after d match
January 31st, 2008 @ 10:30When the Lord brought back the Captors of the Super Eagles captive we were like them that dream! Then our mouths were filled with laughter.
Congrats, all Nigerians for the qualification. It was like surviving going through the fire.
Except the Lord builds a house, the labourers work in vain. May His grace see the Eagles through to win the cup.
January 31st, 2008 @ 10:41What an interesting forum! I enjoy the way u gus predict stuffs and it ends up the exact opposite. Well if our Nija brothers have become suitsayers and juju guys, I wish they should be able to see that football is no longer a matter of propaganda. The ball is round and don’t be surprised if the least expected team grasps the cup this time around. All my best wishes for the lions of Cameroon, but let the best team win.
January 31st, 2008 @ 12:30My brother Eric, naija is a largest city in d entire continent of Africa, there4 we are neither suitsayers nor believe in juju when it comes 2 clean futball i think we’r # 1.
January 31st, 2008 @ 13:15HiMirriam Nsama, u kept mute all ds while, what is ur view about Naija V Ghana on sunday?
January 31st, 2008 @ 13:29PETER IF I MUST LET YOU KNOW.IT IS (WEL) WITH THE SUPER EAGLES OF NIGERIA.SO BE POSITIVE IN YOUR THINKINGS
January 31st, 2008 @ 14:31Hi Bro Peter, why throw a challenge to Miriam Nsama? Football is neither lipstick nor a pack of perfect finish to beautify the face … but it’s meant for those with large heart and extra shock-absorbers. Even you are reserving your comment in respect of the outcome of Ghana Vs Nigeria till… Why? I challenge you to say something. No doubt, it gonna be final b4 the final, but who’ll win? Tell me!
January 31st, 2008 @ 14:35And where is my Abakpa friend?
My guy Ebhojie, i’ve already told my opponent sorry, and dt i’ll give them my full support when dy return to their club, i.e M. Essien, cos is going to be a serious humuliating defeat on sunday.
For reference Mr Ebhojie scroll to discussion #102 and # 110 u’ll find out more about response regarding Naija v Ghana
January 31st, 2008 @ 15:50well with the latest development in the performance of the super eagles of nigeria 2-0 defiting rep. of benin is NOT yet a guaranty for advacement beyond the quarter final stage. a defit by the ghanian will be wourst than quiting from the first round of the competion. SO EAGLE SIT TIGHT AND FLY ABOVE THE BLACK STAR
January 31st, 2008 @ 16:16I THINCK IT IS THE BEST
January 31st, 2008 @ 17:41Yea, the fans have spoken, for indeed the Super Eagles will triumph on Sunday. Get down to memory lane, never did Eagles loose matches at the q/final stages of this competition since its inception. Is Ghana capable of breaking this jinx? The game will end 2-1 in favour of the Eagles. It is the final before the final…!
February 1st, 2008 @ 09:11Hey Tonie the past speaks for it’s self. we beat ivory coast last year and we will do it again. Our team has so much spirt that you dont know. Most of the people in the team play together in the egyptian league and know each other’s style. That’s a huge advantage. Plus it was sad to see a team that its players play in europe get defeated by by a team that less than half play outside of Egypt. That says something right there. Pray that we dont smash the ivory coast one more time.
February 1st, 2008 @ 14:49Egypt all the way.
February 1st, 2008 @ 14:49i think the SUPER EAGLES will fly higher than the Stars[black or white]on sunday
February 1st, 2008 @ 16:30can someone pls tell me the time of the Nigerian vs Ghana match?
February 1st, 2008 @ 16:34The Chipolopolo Boyz sold their second game. Had they played cameroun as they did egypt, am pretty sure we could be in the game. hard luck!! never ever give up.
February 2nd, 2008 @ 10:57My Chipolopolo boys(Zambia)are finally out of the tournament, to them i say hard luck there is always second time, there is room they will do better next time preferrebly during Angola 2010.Ghana meeting the Super Eagles in the quarter finals, this game will be very crucial but mind you there will be no home advantage because Nigeria is almost at home in Ghana .The winner of this game will reach the finals.Sorry i was quite because i was reflecting on Zambia’s early exit.
February 2nd, 2008 @ 11:16Hi Dear Valued Africans
I am a Sudanese. I was shook when seeing my nation did not score any single gole. They come with 3 times 3.
But hope comes to me next time we shall win in the future.
Ivory coast and Cameroon and Ghana should be careful not to let this cup to Egypt again. It is your time
Thanks
February 2nd, 2008 @ 11:53Gabriel Ohiri
“WHEN STRENGHT FAILS, COURAGE AT LEAST WILL DESERVE SOME PRAISE”. THAT IS THE BEST WORD FOR MY DEAR SUPER EAGLES OF NIGERIA KNOW U GONNA MAKE US PROUD IN GHANA. FOR ALL THE DOUBTING THOMOS WATCH AND C GOD OF NIGERIA IN ACTION. GOD BLESS NIGERIA. HAPPY VAL TO MY ANGEL, MY BONE MY HEART…. BLESSING BERNARD. I LOVE U I PROMISE TO BRING THE CUP HOME FROM GHANA. JONATHAN (FRECKS).
February 2nd, 2008 @ 16:39well i pray dat naija makes a good outing on sunday.God b wit dem. i might hav a hyh bp if dy dnt make me proud. Gud luck once again
February 2nd, 2008 @ 21:28those that pray never fail. UP EAGLES
February 3rd, 2008 @ 13:31Thank God 2day is sunday, there is one bag we call Ghana must go in Naija, so goooooooooo super eagles goooo…., am sorry for my opponent 2day cos is going to be a serious humuliating defeat in d history of AFCON, we’ll dedicate d cup to Ghana after winning d cup, up super aegles! up green white green up our suppoters up Nigerians up our cup, is a goal………,ooooooo, oooooo…..,.
February 3rd, 2008 @ 16:01I hope my Nija brothers have started seeing what I meant earlier when I said football is no longer a matter of propaganda. Now Nigeria is out of the tournament following their defeat by Ghana. So Mr Peter, how’s ur feeling after arrogantly prophesying defeat on Ghana and hoping to dedicate Nigeria’s victory to the Ghanaians? Not to mention my other brothers who have been tough with the hypothetical belief that Nigeria is ”#1”? See guys, I will say it again, football is round and anything can happen as far as the game is concerned. I love my team; the indomitable Lions of Cameroon. But this does not change the fact that only the best team should win this time. Bless football.
February 4th, 2008 @ 08:58FOOTBAL IS NOT PLAYED WITH MOUTH,THAT’S ALL WHAT THE SUPER EAGLES OF NIGERIA CAN DO…….SEE THE EAGLE FLY IN ANOTHER 4 YEARS TIME.
February 4th, 2008 @ 09:26The Super Eagles are down and out of this Nations Cup tournament. Sports, is not only about winning all the time because THERE IS TIME FOR EVERYTHING – a Time to win and a Time to loose…! Let the Super Eagles come back home and begin to strategize.. Sometimes, someday, the Eagles will certainly fly again, and very powerfully too!! Goodnight, folks.
February 4th, 2008 @ 12:34Like i said b4, dt ds Cup we’r all eyeing is meant for only Country, is just dt d futball is all abouty catching fun, Mr Eric Sama Doh, is not about insult, cos when u talk about “arrogant” it means u’r one of ds fanatics 4rm alqaeda,
Watch ur mouth brother.
February 4th, 2008 @ 14:52To be very honest with you,is time we begin to bring the glory of this country[Nigeria]back, can you see the disgrace we get in soccar,i know we have so many talented players, right there in our country,go to the stadiums on sundays, not to talk about our local leuges,we are tired of this old names, old result and we can not move our football on to the next level with this people,we need group of yound players who will be focued even from dfate to train and position them self to win in future times.
February 4th, 2008 @ 20:57Well I must say I migt have misunderstood some of u if not all. Cuz reading some comments above, I was kinda wondering whether the talents of other teams are not seen here. So Mr Peter I’m glad and some how relieved to know that it was all jokes and fun. As for whether I’m from the Alqaeda, infact I’m just learning the spelling of that word from u. This is just to say I’m not. I’m just a football freak like most of us in west Africa and one who belives in te beauty of the game, hoping that we should encourage talents in football and perhaps someday te world cup in Sout Africa will belong to an African country. At that moment, which ever team from Africa, be it Naija, Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire or so, the cup will be for the entire continent. Infact I have always supported the Eagles, and can’t hide to say it was a little disappointment for me when they were knocked out of the competition last Sunday. Well the continent’s football level is changing for the better, and it’s becoming quite unpredictable which country could be termed as the ”best”. Now that Naija is out, why not join me to support te Indomitable Lions of Cameroon? football no be still gari and soup. Now football na about talent and nothing else. Make we put propaganda aside and enjoy the beauty of the game. Bless soccer.
February 5th, 2008 @ 08:55The tournament is about to come to an end now,i strongly feel this cup can not go to the indomitable lions of Cameroon, going by their performance on the quarter final against Tunisia.I know my comment would be recieved with mixed reactions but my simple prediction is that Ghana will face Ivory Coast in the final.Cameroon and Egypt are also good teams its possible they can upset the tables.
February 5th, 2008 @ 09:45this year’s nations cup has produced excellent style of play by most of the teams. Africa has improved in the quality of play as exhibited by countrie such as Egypt, Ivory coast, Ghana, Angola to mention a few. The goals scored have equally been excellent especially the goal scored by Angolan export to Man United, Manucho. My prediction is that the Ivorians will definately get thier revenge against Egypt when the two clash in the semi’s. i foresee an Explosive final betwwen Ghana and Ivory Coast.
February 5th, 2008 @ 09:57I am so sorry for nigeria. You died like a warrior. Dont worry. Go back identify and have a youth programme that have to take over from Sudey Olise, babayaro, kanu, okocha amocach and the rest. As of now you have isolated young player whom I feel they are not motivated enough to play for their national team. Footbal nowadays is speedy requiring around 20th years young fast boys. The tactic is have 25% of old outgoing latented player, 50% players who are at the peak and 25% incoming players from 18th years and above. This is how the Brazilians do except for our Tanzanian coach Marcio Mazimo who doesnot want to observe this phenomenon by taking over 50& youth who have no International experiense yet of poor phyique while there are good players around. I can tell you if you are talented player in Tanzania and of a good preformance and phyisque the coaches hates you or not protect nor respect you that is why we will continue to be backward for 100 years to come. As I said before, the Ivirian are going to be the champions. I usuall dont make mistakes, I assess after technical, phychological and and organisational analysis of each team.
I congraturate all teams that qualified for the semifinals. See you on 7th Februal 2008.
Chao.
February 5th, 2008 @ 13:19Why Ivory Cost. Is because of talented yet players who are at the peack. Is like an Europe Regional team collecton players form european countries clubs. If you tie mark Drogba, Kalou and other s scores. How can you stop such a forward. Just think of that. Faraous as I said are fast and get tired quicky and in many occasions cheats on refrees for a favour. The have to be carefull into meeting the giants Corte De Ivory.
Asanteni.
February 5th, 2008 @ 13:27I salute Angola for a wonderful, beautiful play – they have a team. The Young shall Grow! The pair of Munacho’s legs is irrepressible. I salute him for that missles he fired from about 40 meters that beat the Egyptian goolie. This team should be kept together and nurtured for 2010.
The Super Eagles crashed out but they may not easily know the damage they’ve done to Nigerians. I read in the papers how a fan collapsed and died somewhere in Abeokuta, Nigeria immediately the game ended with Ghana beating Nigeria. I have said b4 that this game is for those who have ‘iron’ heart and ‘steel’ shock-absorbers. We have certainly not heard the last about the Super Eagles. Berti Vogts? Ah ya-ya!! He is not a Coach any longer, maybe before, perhaps!
I salute the Ivory Coast, Cameroon and the Egypt – they have a team! Ghana, yes, they are hosting but not fantastic!
February 5th, 2008 @ 15:49I can smell a final between Ivory Coast and Cameroon!
All of u suck.. Egypt is gonna win it again and u kno ittttt!!!!!!!
February 5th, 2008 @ 22:20The Game is moving fine according and the host are diong very well and i think they are heading for a win of the African Cup of Nations this 2008
February 6th, 2008 @ 22:10I ready want for Ghana to be out from this African cup of nation. They beaten are not fair. The always cheat in everything. I hope the next thing can beat them. I just hate this country .even the name I hate so deeply
February 7th, 2008 @ 03:02Mr Johnson, Ghana is a wonderful country,as for me i luv Ghana so dont hate them, ur country fail to perform well does not mean u should hate them. Remember we’r all brothers as far as Africa is concern. Futball is not a war but a game.
February 7th, 2008 @ 07:54I think MR Johnson should apologise for his statement, i think its bad for him to hate Ghana like that.Let him know that Ghana is a wonderful country like any other African country.I think MrJohnson will not be a happy man this evening because Ghana will beat Cameroon and proceed to the finals.Am not from Ghana am a Zambian but i like African countries even at the World cup i normally give priority to African countries because i know that those are the people i share food with, people i stay with.Come on Mr Johnson this is Africa.
February 7th, 2008 @ 08:19Tonight, Cameroon gonna beat Ghana 2-0. Do you doubt this, then stay glued to your TV and give me a call immediately after. Happy day to you all, fans!! Hey, Ivory Coast will edge out Egypt 1-0. Keep watching and happy viewing!!!
February 7th, 2008 @ 10:083rd position is going to be Egypt & Cameroon, bt if by chance Cameroon scale thru to finals dt means d 2008 edition of AFCON belongs to them, but i doubt much cos i believe d refree or d officiating is going to b in favour of Black stars.
February 7th, 2008 @ 12:26Ebhojie,your prediction is totally wrong i urge you to call me after the game it can be abnormally abnormal for Ghana to lose to Cameroon. But because football is a game i give Cameroon 40 percent chances of winning and Ghana 60 percent.Ivory Coast will beat Egypt so the 2008 finals will be a repeat of the 1992 finals in Senegal.
February 7th, 2008 @ 15:21Ebhojie,your prediction is totally wrong it can be abnormally abnormal for Cameroon to beat Ghana by such a margin. For your own information this years cup final will be a repeat of the 1992 finals in Senegal, but because football is a game i give Cameroon 40 percent chances of winning while Ghana have 60 percent chances.Call me after the Ghana i will be more than willing to talk to you-
February 7th, 2008 @ 15:53i would love to see less acting n soccer it looks bad when i player goees down rolling around and the slow motion shows he was never touched the oppent get a yellow or red and he is acting like a shot gun has hit him boy makes me mad and dont want to watch it any more and as soon as the man has yellow he gets up limps around and we all know he never got touched boy what a man take up net ball you fairy
February 7th, 2008 @ 16:46i agree with emad. we will win it again
February 7th, 2008 @ 18:55Looks like Egypt to me too, but you never know…
February 7th, 2008 @ 22:41for everyone that said ivory coast will win it all i wnt u to c wht we did today, 4-1 baby. DONT EVERY SAY THEY WILL SWEEP US. WE HV A HUGE CHANCE AT WINNING THIS.
February 7th, 2008 @ 22:43I would like to thank all those whose predictions were right but now lets move a step further.Cameroon vesus Egypt meeting again at the same tournament. The biggest question is will Egypt repeat? or will Cameroon revenge?.I strongly feel Zambia would have gone far if coach Phiri had worked on his defence on the Cameroon game the way he did when the Chipolopolo boys held Egypt to a one all draw.Koma mulimba…
February 8th, 2008 @ 07:29The Egyptians play very well but the only problem is that they have an attitude problem. They look down upon fellow Africans and think they are not Africans. If they are not Africans what are they doing at the African Cup of Nations.
Good luck to Cameroon – fellow Africans please rally behind the African team with the right attitude.
February 8th, 2008 @ 07:47The final score may not have tally well but the prediction was right, Miti. It was right! Cameroon finally subdued Ghana. But oh, whatever happened to the Ivoriens? What happened, somebody should tell me ‘cos that wasn’t the Ivoriens I expected. I must congratulate the Egyptians, ‘cos to whip a team like the Ivoriens 4-1 would have been unimagineable, but they did it so wonderfully!
Hey Pete, never mind attitude – we all possess some of it, good or bad. You saw the Ivorien who attacked the medical team attending to his brother? What attitude is that? But as long as they feature in the Nations Cup and play the Champions Cup organized by Africa, they are Africans! I mean, the Egyptians! Even the Tunisians and the Morroccans – Africans, all of them are. Period!!
Ivory Coast will beat Ghana tomorrow and Cameroon will beat Egypt on Sunday. Am neither Ivorien nor Cameroonian. Based my calculations on the matches the Egyptians played against Zambia and Angola – they were lucky to win. Will it be so with a team like the Cameroonians?
February 8th, 2008 @ 09:15I can’t agree more with u Ebhojie. Infract ur annalysis is quiet professional. Bless u.
February 8th, 2008 @ 10:50I STARTED THE FILLER BY PREDICTING THE EXIT OF THE SUPER EAGLES OF NIGERIA AND IT WAS SO.FROM RIGHT PERPECTIVE EGYPT IS MORE READY FOR THIS CUP THAN ANY OTHER COUNTRY.THEY HAVE A COMPACT TEAM BLENDING FOOTBALL IN THE RIGHT WAY IT SHOULD.ALTHOUGH CAMEROON APAIRS TO HAVE IMPROVED ON THERE PERFROMANCE.YET I GIVE THE MUNDIA CUP OF NATION WIN TO EGYPT.I AM NEIGHETER CAMEROONIER NOR EGYPTIAN.I SAY PROFESSIONALLY,TACTICALLY,DISCIPLINE AND ACCURATE FOOTBALL IS MORE DISPLAYED BY THE EGYPTIAN SIDE THAN THE CAMEROON.EGYPT CONGRATULATION IN ADVANCE.
February 8th, 2008 @ 11:45Thank God you are not a prophet Mr Gbenga Iyanda. I don’t know where u got ur statistics from, but don’t be surprised to get the exact opposite. Bless the lions.
February 9th, 2008 @ 09:48i luv Ghana and am soo proud.good luck to the boys.i know you will do extra well in the world cup come 2010 in SA.
February 9th, 2008 @ 20:17All of these emotional analysis, all of u are wrong.
February 10th, 2008 @ 07:28African teams have no tactics at all, weak defense, poor coaching, generally EGYPT is the best till now, and i don’t understand why all of these hostile emotions for EGYPT, it’s just a game.
FOR ALL THE PEOPLE THAT DID THERE “STATISTICS” THAT CAMROON WILL WIN, WELL I AM SORRY. DONT DOUBT EGYPT THEY WERE GREAT AND THE BEST TEAM. WE WON IT AGAIN FOR THE SECOND TIME AND THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IN HISTORY FOR A TEAM TO WIN A CONTIENTAL TITLE TWICE IN A ROW. ALL THE TEAMS DID GREAT AND I RESPECT THEM ALL. I ALSO RESPECT HOW CAMAROON PLAYED AND LOVED THERE GAME. GO EGYPT!!!!!
February 10th, 2008 @ 19:49You seem to have forgotten that Cameroon also won the cup on the row in 2000 and 2002. So it’s not the first time dear. Congratulations to the Pharoahs. Nice football spectacle last night. Keep up. Wonderful performance from Cameroon too. They’ve also proven that they’re not comppletely dead as many thought. Keep up and 2010 will be yours. Bravo.
February 11th, 2008 @ 05:33for ppl who are saying that we dont like africa why you are saying such thing do u c us as white as amricans.

and thanks for you support
and special thanks for the Sudanese guy for supporting us :S
6 stars Egypt vs Cameron 1-0 hahahaha i guess we didn’t want to humiliate Cameron’s team as we did before anybody saw eto coz i didn’t c him playing in the match captain el hadry(Egyptian goal kepper and the best goal keeper in Africa) was smoking cigarette beside the post for 1.5 hour we didnt c him too i guess eto made him feel very bored
btw go take alook at Africa team line-up
I would like to thank the Pharaohs of Egype for defending the trophy,i know it was not easy to beat Cameroon twice.
February 11th, 2008 @ 13:26I think its high time the Indomitable lions develop young players and not to depend on the old legs of Rigobert Song. For Ivory Coast they were the favourites to win the cup but they dissappointed us conceeding eight goals in two games.Any way it was a good cup, but mind in 2010 Angola is hosting so the cup will remain in Southern Africa, it will go to Zambia, South Africa or it will remain in Angola.Remember its only Zambia that recorded a good result against the Pharaohs.
au revoir Cameron au revoir cote d’avoir
February 11th, 2008 @ 17:14Hi guys, I want to say Hai to you all! The Africa Cup of Nations has come and gone – the Cup has been won and lost, but the game lives on. It was a lot of fun having you all around while the game lasted – with tough talks, jokes, predictions, etc. It was really fun and I enjoyed it all! Thank you all indeed, and I think its time to vamoose awhile. Congratulations to Egypt for a superlative performance, congratulations to Cameroon, and congratulations to Ghana – at least they got something out of the competition. It’s time to say goodbye! My prayer: may God keep us all alive till year 2010 when we shall all meet again in Angola… until then, au revoir, guys, till we meet again …. in Angola. Au revoir!! Au revoir!!!
February 12th, 2008 @ 13:39The Ghana 2008 Africa cup of nations is over and teams are suppose to reflect on their performance at the bi annual tournament.Let African teams prepare for Angola 2010 because we want the tournment to be very entertaining and crucial.I would like to call on those teams that did not qualify to work hard and qualify next time.Teams like Malawi they were only at the Africa cup in 1984 let them do something.Countries which are in Southern Africa should make sure they qualify so that they get the cup,we don’t want a situation where the cup is only rotating in West and North Africa. To my collegue Mostafa from Egypt i like your point on those people who accuse Egypt of having an attitude problem, but you haven’t exhausted your point you only defended your fellow countrymen. To the Egyptians if they have this problem let them change because where there is smoke fire is always there,so this observation can not come from without.Although the tournament is over we should still evaluate it.bye..
