Abidal moves to Bracelona

Football Club Barcelona today completed their third signing of the summer. Eric Abidal passed his medical examination and has signed for the next four seasons.

He then appeared in front of the press with Joan Laporta and Txiki Begiristain and said that “today is a great day for me, I’m very proud to be here.” Abidal also stated that his “aim was always to play for Barça.”

The Frenchman will play at left-back although he can also play in midfield. Next season he will wear the number 22 shirt.

Eric likes rapping in his spare time, so maybe he can help to entertain the other players in the dressing room. Another curious fact is that he has never scored a league goal in his professional career. He now has the chance to break that duck as a Barça player, but more importantly he will be required to help tighten up the defence.

  2. It’s great. If you are ever there make sure you check out the Sagarda Falimia :-)

  3. If I ever end up somewhere called ‘Bracelona’, it wont be the architecture I’ll be checking out. :-)
