Yeah as you said moving into Asia was a brilliant move by the FFA. With Adelaide one game away from the Asian Champions League final and Australia looking like they will coast into the World Cup albeit with a higher level competition than last time around, things are looking good for Australian football.

The Australian league has almost everything. Fantastic stadiums, decent teams, good players and most importantly passionate supporters. And gettng themselves into the AFC was by far the smartest move the Socceroos FA has ever made. By letting the national team and A league teams participate in a much stronger Asia cup and club competitions such as the AFC Champions League things are looking brighter for Australian football. They are already close to qualifying for the world cup after beating Qatar at home 4-0. Now if only the A league clubs buckle up and match their Asian counterparts things will start falling into place.
