Are you trying to create a club on this site, for United fans? It points towards this site becoming increasingly based around United fans and their opinions, and little digs at clubs they don’t like, which is not a good thing.

The United fans site is over at redrants.com. As this (soccerlens) is essentially a blog written by one person (with generous article contributions – thanks everyone!), a lot of it is going to have my views on it.

It sucks if you think I’m trying to build a site where people can come and bash other clubs – not at all. The previous article on Thaksin and City was quite straightforward and based on my doubts on Eriksson, and everyone still bashed it because, god forbid, if anyone questions the policies of your club (not your club – i’m talking about the reaction of any fan whose club is being discussed), he must hate them.

RedRanter sent me the Thaksin – Fergie picture, I thought it was funny and I put it up with a list.

Yes, there IS criticism of clubs on this site. That holds true for Ferguson and United as well as for Wenger and Arsenal, or Liverpool or CHelsea or anyone else.

The problem with criticising a blog based on one article is that you usually lack a sense of perspective – I’ve been writing here for over an year and I usually try to put up a disclaimer when I go on a baiting rant.

The other thing that’s a bit off is that you’ve entered into a slanging match with these City fans – if you are going to write something like this, then you should expect some kind of backlash, despite saying you don’t want it. Saying City fans can’t read is a bit stupid really, but if you’re that “bitter” *wink wink geddit* about us getting taken over that you’ll stoop to made-up insults.

I fully expected the backlash – just as I expected people to ignore a lot of what I’d said, just skim through the points and bash me regardless. Fans cant read, the color of their shirt (or blood ) doesn’t matter.

Hope you stick around mate – I don’t have much faith in Eriksson’s man-management skills but the takeover should do City good. Come on, I know that much
