2007/2008 Champions League Group Stage Draw

2007/2008 Champions League Group Stage Draw

My god, they do waste their (ours, actually) time in making a spectacle out of this mess, don’t they?

The actual process would take less than 10 minutes, but to stretch it out to it’s current form of madness – ridiculous. Luckily (or unluckily, I’m not sure), I was only able to follow through the audio feed, which got stuck a few times in the middle but gave me the unadulterated joy of … well, it was just as painful as watching it on TV, I assure you).

I did like the music that play as they showed the shortlisted players for the different awards – probably because I couldn’t see anything icon smile 2007/2008 Champions League Group Stage Draw

Liverpool’s group doesn’t look too bad though i’m not liking the thought of Cisse playing against us he’s bound to have a good game for a change!

Of all the groups Rangers have got the hardest test, though its probably not too surprising as they were in the fourth pot. I think all the English teams have a very good chance of qualify and i think Celtic have a good chance

    3. Get in early but it’s not too bad.
    4. No but she may beat you!

    P.S. Rangers are screwed.

the groups are what most expected, we can safely say that all 4 english teams progressing to the latter stages, can someone explain to me what position Kaka plays, I thought he was a midfielder, or does he play just behind the striker, for some reason I had him down as a midfielder, and seedorf to take best midfielder is a fucking joke, he goes missing for most matches and if they wanted to give it to another unjust case it would have had to be gattuso, I think neither of them dererved that award, pirlo or gerrard or lampard dererved that award, and maldini for fuck sake, Terry was by far the best defender and i dont support chelsea, UEFA are a bunch of clowns, some dick thought that the letter F was an E, says it all idiots.

I can’t wait for the Barcelona vs Lyon matches, Arsenal really shouldn’t have a problem getting through that group, in fact they really should win it

    gerry:::

Kaka’s preffered position is midfield but he has been filling in the forward role for Milan this season :)

We have to remember what the Prize is called UEFA (MID/DEF/FOR) of the year not best (MID/DEF/FOR) if it was best then Lampard, Gerrard or Pirlo should have won but it isnt that!!

My thought on who i think should have won the prizes :)

GK:Reina (Uefa picked the best goal keeper not the one who played the best in the CL i think Reina deserved it)

    DEF:Maldini is about right :)

MID:Gattuso (he played so well in the CL really shocked he didn’t win)

    FOR:Kaka (obviously :) )

Suprisingly all these players ive picked all played shite in the final :)

  27. Chelsea saving Ballack for the winter | Soccerlens - Football News Blog

[...] Rosenborg and Schalke are hardly going to provide tough unsurmountable opposition, while Chelsea’s toughest game of the group stages, the away game against Valencia on Matchday 2 (October 3rd), comes 10 days before Ballack is expected to be fit for a bit-part role in Germany’s Euro 2008 qualifier (see 07/08 CL fixtures list and 07/08 group stage CL draw). I think Arsenal muct go through to the knock out stages, but Sevilla are the only team in their group that poses a real threat to their hopes of winning the group, even though they should win the group anyway.
