Every year football fans are running around, trying to figure out what the new kit for the next season for their club is going to be.
To make the process a whole lot easier, I thought it would be a good idea to collect all the kit pictures for the Premiership clubs in one place.
Here’s a list of the Premiership club kits I have seen / found for the 2007/2008 season so far.
Arsenal 2007/2008 Kit
Arsenal will keep the same home kit as last season, but they’ve changed their away kit.
Arsenal 07-08 Away Kit - I think it’s fine, but a lot of Arsenal fans have come down hard on it, bashing it for its whiteness and what not.
You can also see the Arsenal 07-08 3rd Kit, which ironically has Barcelona colors and will be used for several away games as well as in Europe.

Aston Villa 2007/2008 Kit
Under a new 4-year sponsorship deal with Nike, the Aston Villa 2007/2008 Home Kit is claret with blue trimmings, and is due to be launched in July. The away kit is rumoured to be a tribute to the 82 European Cup winning side.

Birmingham City 2007/2008 Kit
The new blue & white Birmingham City 07/08 home kit is extremely well-done, and Umbro has built a nice track record with bringing out quality shirts.
It is certainly one of the better designed kits in the Premiership.
The white & blue Birmingham City 2007/2008 away kit is out as well - I personally prefer the home one because of it’s progressive design although a lot of people have criticised the white in it. For a newcomer to those kits it’s all a bit confusing as they look quite similar.

Blackburn 2007/2008 Kit
The Blackburn 07-08 home and away kits are quite nice, although they really need to do something about their sponsor’s logo, which is messing things up (especially for the red n’ black away kit).

Bolton 2007/2008 Kit
The whiteness is Bolton’s style, but sometimes too much white isn’t good.
The Bolton 07-08 home kit is fine though - maybe a few more trimmings and splashes?
I like their 07/08 away kit though - Reebok may not be the best sponsors but this kit beats plenty others in terms of design and quality.

Chelsea 2007/2008 Kit
Chelsea’s 2007/2008 home kit is supposed to be the same as the 2006/2007 Chelsea home kit.
The Chelsea 2007/2008 away kit is “electricity yellow” and is easily the boldest kit this summer, even though Arsenal’s 3rd kit has gone with Barcelona colours and what not.
Chelsea’s 07/08 3rd kit is more ‘traditional’, white with blue splashes and the Adidas stripes on the shoulders.

Derby County 2007/2008 Kit
Derby County’s 2007/2008 Home Kit is white shirts with black socks and black shorts, while the away kit is due to be a reverse of the home kit.

Everton 2007/2008 Kit
Everton 07-08 Home Kit launches on 31st May.
The Everton 07/08 Away Kit is due to be launched on 12th July and is a white shirt with black shorts, traditional Everton away colours.

Fulham 2007/2008 Kit
The 07/08 Fulham home kit reflects the club’s historic past with a modern revision of the all-white home shirt first worn in 1903.
The 07/08 Fulham away shirt is black and red striped, homage to the the 1974/75 season in which Fulham reached its first FA Cup final.

Liverpool 2007/2008 Kit
Adidas have revealed the new Liverpool away and third kits for 2007/2008. I’m not too impressed by the white away kit but the black 3rd strip looks classy.

Manchester City 2007/2008 Kit
The Manchester City 07/08 home kit launches on June 9. It’s a decent kit and a departure from contemporary fashion by going for a thin-striped look.
Overall, looks good, but could have been better. It also helps that they have a new sponsor.

Manchester United 2007/2008 Kit
The most-awaited kit on this list, the Manchester United 07/08 Home Kit is here.
Highlights? Launches on 1st August (Man Utd vs Inter friendly at Old Trafford), red shirt with white shorts and black socks, blue kit for the keepers and … yes, there’s a good chance that the hideous stripe going down the back suggested on some pics is not there.
The Manchester United 07/08 away kit is black, launches in September and looks really good.

Middlesbrough 2007/2008 Kit
Middlesbrough’s 07/08 home and away kits are manufactured by Errea and have a new sponsor in Sat-Nav, both of which have been the butt of many jokes.
Not ‘bad’ kits per se, but definitely one of the weaker sets in the 07/08 season in terms of kit quality.
Newcastle United 2007/2008 Kit
The new Newcastle United 2007/2008 home kit was out in March 07 - it’s an inverted version of the 06-07 strip, with the badge in the center and less stripes.
The Newcastle 2007/2008 Away Kit, though, is a different story. They’ve gone with the light blue colours of Newcastle but ended up with a Man City home kit. No, it still says Northern Rock. But wait, that’s Joey Barton modeling the kit!
It’s all quite confusing.
And then there’s the Newcastle United 07/08 3rd kit, white with blue splashes - not a bad kit at all.

Portsmouth FC 2007/2008 Kit
Portsmouth’s 2007/2008 Home Kit launches on 19th July.
The Portsmouth 07/08 Away Kit launched on 3rd August, while the the 3rd kit will be released on 3rd September.
Reading FC 2007/2008 Kit
The Reading FC 2007/2008 away kit has been released - looks good, even though it’s gray and gray. Launches on July 7th.

Sunderland 2007/2008 Kit
The new Sunderland 2007/2008 away kit launches on June 28, with the home kit due on July 28.
The away strip is all-white, and clashes with at least one other Premiership home kit (that of Bolton). On the other hand, the Sunderland away strip looks far better than the Bolton one, so may we can ask them to change to the 3rd kit instead? 
The Sunderland 2007/2008 home kit is the traditional red&white rounded off with black shorts and black socks (the black balances the red very well and makes the kit looker better than the shirt alone would).

Tottenham Hotspur 2007/2008 Kit
All four Spurs 07-08 kits look decent, although the 125th anniversary shirt raised a few questions and IMO the away kit is very classy.

West Ham 2007/2008 Kit
The West Ham 2007/2008 Home Kit has been launched, and like the other Umbro kits it’s well-done and the colors have a good contrast on them. West Ham have new sponsors in XL airways as well.
West Ham’s 07/08 away kit is quite good too - and the XL airways logo on it looks better than on the home shirt.

Wigan’s 07/08 home shirt is snazzy and done up by Umbro, so expect the usual frills on the side.

there is a new west ham kit with new sponsor XL Airways.

yeah west ham new kit is out on the 16th i have seen a picture of what it is ment to be, and its really nice but the company xl which is written hugely on the front makes everyone who wears it sound fat lol but i like it it is really nice.

I personally think Liverpool’s away kit would look better with white shorts, the black shorts are too much of a contrast. And I’m gonna miss Hotspur’s brown kit.

Le Coq Sportiff have apperently been taken over, im not sure who by though, they’re going to change the name to just LE COQ for Football, The text will look different too, all in capitals and a new logo will be brought in.

Le Coq have bought a 4 year deal with Wales Foootball Federation too, and a 2 year deal with Charlton Athletic, Aston Villa and Pompey

Man U have a new kit, as they release one every year (it’s all about money, all their kits are almost the same but for a slight change). Arsenal seem to be a bit more kind to their fans and are keeping their home shirts for a bit longer..
It’s actually because last year’s kit was a commemorative one, like Aresenal’s two years ago, and therefore a new non-commemorative kit was needed. I’m quite sure you can only change your kit every two years otherwise.

I’ve looked around for any official “rules” on kit changes. From what I’m aware, the England National team change their kit every 2 years, whereas premiership teams vary between 1 and 2 years (and that’s including some with the same sponsors and kit suppliers each year).
Man United in 2002 had ‘life spans’ added to their kits (by Nike, it must be said) due to the media and fans not happy with changing their kits often (this was near the time they had a european home shirt, a normal home shirt and 2 or 3 away/change strips).
To be fair, there are smaller teams that change their kits often (Everton have made very small changes despite the same sponsor and kit maker the last 2 years), and for all teams that change them, it’s about making money (don’t want to sound like I’m bashing MUFC exclusively).

so is man U releasing a new away kit this year. on their site it says the white and black away kit was for the 2006/2007 season, and the new home kit is 2007/2009. I’m having trouble finding any info on the away kit however. does anyone know?
Yes United is releasing a new away kit as well this season, rumors are that it will be black.
About changing kits, im sure villa have had a new set of kits (home & away) for the past few years at least that i can remember. And if anybody wants the new wigan kit look on jjb sports website its slightly different to the one already posted in these comments. UP THE VILLA!!!!!
Portsmouth have changed there kits alot recently as well, but thats because of the new sponsors and kit make changes (TY, OKI, JAKO and now Canterbury)
Cant wait to see there new kit as this will be (I think it is at least) Canterburys first football kit. There going to be combining the technical side of the super tight spandex style clothing you see all the pro’s wearing with a modern stylish football kit so i can wait to see the outcome.

Sorry to say Spurs, but those are not the new Villa kits. I saw them in a forum recently, and wasn’t able to comment. The first page is the official sneak preview - but that page with the “New Home and Away Kits” is clearly a screen shot from a game like Pro-Evo, I’ve seen that kind of picture before when people have made kits on Pro-Evo - it’s exactly the same. The kits haven;t been released officially yet, and so far, we know the sleeves are blue, not the claret shown in those pics (unless of course you were linking to the sneak preview kit but the link went to page 3 of that particular post, rather than page 1?)
I was thinking about those pics on page 3. Tought it may be better than nothing…

Gotta say, as a Villa fan I’m really worried the kits are going to be terrible. I like all the Umbro kits so far this year, but Nike can be a bit iffy - sometimes they do well, other times they make kits like Man united’s last year (I really didn’t like the look of the home shirt)….. guess we’ll wait and see what they do for Villa.

Really, Umbro have made the best kits this year - not too flashy, just a bit simple, but very classy looking.
new Arsenal Goalkeeper kit is on the Arsenal web shop… its black with lighter stripes going horizontally… pictures not the best but you can get the idea!! Eduardo #9!

Replying to TomR, i also wandered the same thing but i am almost 100% sure it is a training top as manchester united and arsenal have the same styles, there is a little mark on the left hand side of the shirt (or right if you look at the shirt when someones wearing it) that says nike and both manchester united and arsenal have this on their new training tops. i gotta agree though it is a hell of a nice shirt, i hope there away kit is actualy that colour

Boro haven’t signed a deal with a new sponsor yet, as the contract with 888.com ran out. So they are waiting on the release of their kits until they can sign with someone. I think the kit design is finalised, but they just need to add the sponsor logo as soon as they sign with someone. Pretty sure I saw that all written on the official Boro site somewhere?!

The Aston Villa kit is stated as being “Not official” in the post. The real “Official” one is released tomorrow at 2pm at some grand ceremony by Villa….so only a day to go until we see whether any of the kits released on the internet were the real ones.

Why have Boro dropped the white hoop? It’s our trademark; makes us stand out from the rest of the red shirt brigade.
In my opinion we need to drop Errea and get someone else to make our kits - they make us look like Barnsley or Bristol City.
I don’t like either kit by the way.
I thought last year’s Errea kits were great, not sure about this seasons - glad we aren’t part of the Umbro brigade though.

The wiki page seems to either have a messed up picture, or the person drawing it made the colour slightly off. It says in the text right next to the picture (quote): “For the 07/08 season, there is also a third kit, which is all white with blue and black trim.”
Yeah, the away kit should be up soon I posted it a few days back but hasnt been put on the main site, It is white with black and blue trimmings and splashes.
Also, go to http://www.PremierLeague.com and then click on team profiles and comes up with all the OFFICIAL kits. Bolton away is like last yrs NUFC 3rd, dark blue and white with light blue sleeves and splashes..
